Latest Updates from Our Project:

The Dog Days of the Campaign
11 months ago – Sat, Apr 05, 2025 at 12:04:14 PM

These are indeed the dog days of any crowdfunding campaign. We have THIRTEEN days left and have been stuck at $3,420 for the past two days.

However, Bonzo and I still feel drunk with the possibilities of this project. Personally, I have about 10 drinks a year. Please make it so I don't have to consume half a year's take tonight and get us UNstuck by backing the campaign today.

Meet Mrs. Polonium
11 months ago – Mon, Mar 31, 2025 at 11:24:58 AM

Hey, Party People!

I was obsessing about being below $2,500 yesterday. We are now $175 short of $3K and 8 backers away from 100. Hopefully, we can reach one or both of those milestones soon.

Since I was talking about her yesterday, I figured I'd share a character I created, Mrs. Polonium. She is based on Carolyn Beatrice Parker, who was one of the Black scientists who contributed to the Manhattan Project (the Dayton Project, in particular, which was involved in developing polonium bombs).

She is the first African American woman known to have obtained a post-graduate degree in physics. She actually got a masters in mathematics from the University of Michigan in 1941 and a masters in physics at MIT in 1951. She was working towards her PhD at MIT when she died of leukemia (apparently, many who worked on the Dayton Project contracted it).

Mrs. Polonium will be featured in my next Lion Man story, which will take place in Nazi Germany. Of course, backing the current campaign will help  make this story possible.

The Lion Man Campaign Week One Update: A John Jennings Lion Man Gallery
11 months ago – Tue, Mar 25, 2025 at 07:46:41 PM

Hey, Party People--

The first week of the campaign is a wrap. We currently stand at 23% backed with 81 backers. Thank you so much for your support! We still have some week to go.

As many of you John Jennings fans may already know, Lion Man has been a mini obsession for him for a very long time. So, we thought you might like to see some of the versions of our mighty hero over the years.

Thanks again for your support. Please help us reach our goal and back it today. We have big plans for Lion Man and some of these other old characters.

All the best,
Bill
